Interactive installation by Jeffrey Shaw and Sarah Kenderdine featuring stereoscopic videos and stills
PLACE Hampi is an interactive installation by Jeffrey Shaw and Sarah Kenderdine that provides a virtual tour of Hampi, India. The work features 360-degree stereoscopic videos and stills that immerse the viewer and provide a sense of presence in situ.
The software was originally developed by Adolf Mathias for the PLACE platform. I wrote the playback engine and adapted the source material for use in AVIE (Advanced Visualisation and Interaction Environment).
Exhibited in multiple locations worldwide between 2006 and 2015.
